is an American hero and, at age 81, a living legend. This is the plane Chuck Yeager flew into the Space Age on October 14, 1947. At 10:30 on that fall morning, he piloted the X-1 to Mach 1.06--faster than the speed of sound. Handmade of Philippine mahogany and handpainted, this finely detailed 1/32; scale model is personally signed by Brig. Gen. Yeager.
