The Women's Web Directory (WWD) is a human edited directory that specifically focuses on websites about women's issues and of interest to women. It is constructed and maintained on the basis that sites included are relative to the lives and interests of women and therefore every effort is made to ensure that websites that apply for inclusion into the WWD comply with the overall guidelines for inclusion.

Not all websites with the WWD project are sites that have been submitted by a webmaster. There are key sites that need to be made readily available to our visitors and those major informational sites are automatically included based on the background and expertise of the department editors.
